Who’s behind HappyToysandGames.com?

Well, there are two of us – two good friends with a shared background in international trade and information management, and an idea to create something special online.

What gave you the idea for HappyToysandGames.com?

Online shopping took us by a storm and we became regulars in shopping online and as the online shopping market grew, we found ourselves buying all sorts of things including furniture and grocery. We thought this is getting serious and then started analysing why do we buy online and why do we go to a certain few online sites only and why not to others. Guess this is where it all started, a list of all the “good” and “bad” that we experienced in the past few years while shopping online gave us a list of what we liked and what we didn’t.

This then gave further encouragement that when we can know what we like and what we don’t then why not do it ourselves. We shall try to include all the” goodies” in what we do.

Shopping for Kids has always been a challenge for us. There are numerous places where we can do this but the problem is either they are pretty ordinary or they are so huge that it leaves more confusion in the mind than pleasure. Price fluctuation is enormous, one day there is a different price for that item and the next day it is different. The feeling of incompleteness is always there. It appears that you are doing this just for the “heck of it”!

Shopping for kids for us is like re-living that age, we wanted to feel the same excitement that we did when we use to go out to the market and buy toys, or the confusion we had when we were told to select one item in the store.

We thought of building a place with a nice selection of toys so
that it’s neither too much nor too little.

How do you choose the products to stock?

Firstly, we try to source things that suit all kinds of tastes;
it’s important to build a diverse range, so that customers can rely on us to do much of their shopping. We work hard at finding good known and popular toys.

With kids quality and safety is very important and it is our effort to bring the best brands to our customers. Names like Meccano, Lego, Hasbro, Mattel Toys, Tomy and others who are known for their quality and reliability.

Good relationships with suppliers have enabled us to offer very competitive prices on everything. For every product, we ask ourselves whether it has added value (what does it bring to your life?) and whether we would have bought it for a little child.

We believe that “a smile on the face of a child goes a million mile" and all our effort is in that direction.

What’s your customer service like?

Feedback tells us that our service is great – and this was one of the things we wanted to get right from the outset. Our checkout process is simple and does not require any rocket science to use it. Data Security is our priority and we have ensured that we are protected from hackers and other identity thieves. We are certified by known authorities who carry out regular checks to make sure that we are well protected and therefore all our customers are well protected. We don’t collect or trade customer data either – another thing modelled on our own experience of website shopping. We provide our customer s the option to pay by either using our own Payment Gateway or by using the world renowned PayPal where they don’t even have to create an account now.

Careful packaging and prompt delivery is our priority because we understand the frustration a buyer has when the goods are not delivered on expected time.
